Since January 2011, Cruise Ship Drummer! has… done what we do, if you’re reading this page you’re aware of it. I put everything on here that I would have wanted to know when I was a young drummer, that I am able to write, all of it focused on learning to play. Everything that entails.
Creating that content demands a lot of love and many, many uncompensated hours of work. I get no significant income from any aspect of this site. Your cash support helps motivate me in doing it— yes, people liking something so much they want to give you money for it is motivating— and assures that I can continue to post regularly, and perhaps expand my offerings in the future.
So if you value this site, you can help me out with it in the following ways:
- Buy cymbals
I sell Cymbal & Gong cymbals, did you know? They’re great, you’ll love them as I do, and use them the rest of your life, it’s a win-win. - Make a cash donation
Over there in the sidebar. One time donations are appreciated, recurring ones are even better. All amounts are welcome and encouraged. Huge amounts of money from wealthy individuals wishing to fund our operations in perpetuity will not be declined. I don’t know why they never do that. That’s what I would do if I was super-rich.
- Get private lessons
See the site’s lessons page for details. I live and teach in Portland, Oregon, but I can teach you online via your favored platform.
All levels are welcome. We cover a lot of hard stuff on the site, but I’m happy helping out students of all levels of abilities. I like a challenge, so I encourage you to get in touch especially if you think you’re a completely hopeless case.
- Buy my books
