Kind of a big one. Blow this up and make a poster out of it… actually I should probably do that, and sell it along with my other merch…
…BUT these are some things to do with that most popular yet underused— and really really boring— snare drum book, Stick Control, by George Lawrence Stone, to make it more interesting? Useful? Not so dang boring? Or to just make it more relevant to what you’re currently doing. Some of these are already covered in much longer form in Stone’s own Accents & Rebounds, and Joe Morello’s Master Studies. Doing these tweaks will be good preparation for those books.

A good approach with these— absent some pressing thing you want to focus on— might be to run all the possible tweaks for each pattern you’re practicing. Or to run the full section of the book with one tweak only. Who can say. Hit the things, do what seems right.
