Here’s a bright samba groove in 7/4, played by Airto on Misturada, by the group Quarteto Novo. These are excerpts from the drum solo, starting at 0:49. Tempo is about quarter note = 220. I practice along with a loop of the vamp from this tune pretty often.

The first two measures make for some pretty ugly notation— he’s playing 8th notes on the snare drum with one hand, while moving between the toms with the other. I’m presuming it’s the RH on the snare, LH crossing over to play the toms. The longer excerpt has him doing the same thing, more or less, with the RH on the cymbal.
It’s notable that the feet are in unison for much of this, and the hands accent in unison— the running 8ths on the cymbal or snare are not at an even volume, clearly both hands are moving to the same accents.
