Negotiating the back streets. “Streets” in Venice were generally built only wide enough to accomodate the occasional filth-cart. Gentlemen and other wealthy fruitcakes typically travelled by gondola.
Gypsy Jazz in Portland
Patrick Saussois, a gypsy-jazz guitarist from Paris. He played last weekend at Artichoke Music in Portland, supported by Seattle’s Pearl Django. They let me in to take some pictures. It was very dark.
