Negotiating the back streets. “Streets” in Venice were generally built only wide enough to accomodate the occasional filth-cart. Gentlemen and other wealthy fruitcakes typically travelled by gondola.  Posted by Hello

Hotel in Rome

View out the hotel window. I think all these buildings retain the original 1890’s lead-flake based paint, because this is exactly how the city looked on our first visit in ’98.
