Collection of rudimental and quasi-rudimental patterns, starting and repeating with the left hand, that a student and I workshopped in a lesson recently. Good for strengthening your left hand, obviously; I find this orientation to be very agreeable to the drum set, for reasons unclear to me.
Fairly straightforward, is it not? You can try doing the 5/8 patterns “in 1”— one beat per measure— to goose the tempo along.
