To the left was the forum. That gold-looking building is the ancient Senate building. The dotted orange line to the right of that is the torches of the demonstrators coming off the Capitoline.

Ahead was the Vitorriano. The protestors were mostly silent or talking quietly. Mostly there was just the sound of thousands of feet.

Demonstrators. Again you can see the demonstrators on the winding down the Capitoline above the woman in the orange coat. This was a powerful scene and members of our group were crying.
First night in Rome – anti-war march
OK, I know these shots are hardly great phototography (or even great “lomography”) but hopefully they’re worth viewing once.
