Colloseum – 1962
Colloseum from the south. The hill to the right is basically a 5-story deep roman ruin. Underground is the remains of a portion of Nero’s palace, and above is a park full of the ruins […]
My parents visit Rome
View of the Capitoline from the Via Sacra in the forum- you can see the Vitorriano and Curia (on the right) that are featured in several of my 2003 Lomo shots.
Il Foro Romano – 1962
Shot by my dad in ’62- see last week’s posts for my shot of the forum from approximately the same place in ’03.
Vittoriano, visible
No reason to include this shot of the Vitorriano except that I also posted my own screwy-looking Lomo shots of it.
Hotel in Rome
View out the hotel window. I think all these buildings retain the original 1890’s lead-flake based paint, because this is exactly how the city looked on our first visit in ’98.
Rock & roll crazy night!

Saul
Saul Cline hanging at the Blue Monk. Lomo. Saul was the bandleader on the Queen for a couple of years, and is one third of Lower Monumental.
