CRUISE SHIP DRUMMER! on Twitch
This week I’ve been doing some video streams on Twitch— nothing serious, just getting myself on camera playing some of the NARD book, some of my stuff, and a Cirone etude. I’m getting the hang of a) being on camera, b) speaking on camera, c) playing on camera, and figuring out what I even want to do with it.
It will be interesting, as a person who hates all drumming videos, figuring out how to do it in a way that makes sense. Twitch itself is a funny place to be doing what I do— very likely I’ll move it over to YouTube soon. For now I’ll be bumping some streams, and parts of streams over to my YouTube channel.
It’ll be good for getting more exposure for the site, and for my approach. You can help me out by following me on YouTube, and on Twitch.
Cymbal & Gong in Germany – April 22-27th, 2026
I’ll be coming to Germany bearing Cymbal & Gong cymbals again this month, first to Bremen, attending the jazz industry (that is a thing, in Europe) event, JazzAhead. I’ll be at the US booth, with Origin Records. I’ll then go to Berlin for a couple of days.
The purpose is to show cymbals to some people at JazzAhead, but I’ll also be meeting drummers to get cymbals to them— so let me know if there’s anything you want. I will only have room for six or seven cymbals. No formal meet this time, I’ll just be showing them at my hotel, and opportunistically at JazzAhead.
Bremen / Bahnhofsvorstadt – Wednesday 22nd through Saturday 25th
Berlin / Kurfurstendamm– Sunday 26th through Monday 27th
Ahead of the trip I will be refreshing my stock of cymbals, so if you see anything you like on Cymbalistic, get it now, otherwise I may be trading it back to Cymbal & Gong.
