Reed tweak: BD triplets, with options

Posting sparsely this week due to holiday festivities, and doing a ton of work on site stuff, promotional stuff, getting my Patreon presence happening, other stuff. There’s a lot in the works for ’26.

This is a Syncopation system I don’t do a whole lot— with the book rhythm played on snare drum, filling in triplets with bass drum, add jazz time on cymbal/hihats. It makes a whole lot of bass drum, and there are couple of options for breaking that up, favoring just the last two triplet partials. Also on the longer spaces we can lean into a quarter note triplet rhythm on the bass drum.

Practice it all the ways. Read from Syncopation, pages 6-7, 10-11, 30-32, 34-45. Practical tempo range could be from about quarter note = 80-120, though you may want to go slower or faster for practice purposes.
