random artwork by your humble narrator.
It’s been about year since I moved the site from the horrible Blogger onto the wonderful WordPress, and I’ve at last gotten around to resolving some lingering issues. You can see we have a new banner, a new photograph of your humble narrator, a new thing in the sidebar advertising my site CYMBALISTIC, and the wonderful Cymbal & Gong cymbals, which you should go listen to and buy, and advertising my splendid books, including my latest release, RANTS, Vol. 1, which you still need to get.
Less visibly, the comment feature is finally usable and readable. I invite you to use it, ask questions, issue demands, criticize, verbally abuse, heap scorn and/or praise. Anything except more crypto spam.
And I should mention other services— mainly, I teach. Everything on here is accessible, to some extent, for anyone, when they are taught it the right way. There’s no reason anyone needs to struggle playing this instrument. Drop me a line, we’ll sort you out, give you a path with this instrument that you can use the rest of your playing life.
Let ‘er rip, let’s have fun. -tb

UPDATE: Oh, I know that look in the new picture— from Warren Clarke (best known for playing Dim in A Clockwork Orange) playing the slightly swishy circus door guy in the original Tinker Tailor.
I am happy to help you with any of the materials on the site, and with anything else drumming related— contact me for private lessons, online world wide, or in person in Portland, Oregon. All levels of players, and all people, are welcome.

Todd B, you can kiss my hi hats!
Enough scorn.
Thanks for the great drumming advice.
Thanks Scott!
I know that chair!
I like sitting normally like that– there’s a picture of Sergei Eisenstein sitting in Czar Nicolas’s throne like that somewhere…
