Here is Marty Morell playing Grandfather’s Waltz, from the Bill Evans live album But Beautiful, featuring Stan Getz, recorded in 1974. Tempo is peppy, he’s playing a modern Elvinish type of thing.
Bit of trivia: at one point Marty wanted the titular boat gig of this site. In the early 2000s he was working regularly in Florida with a pianist who came to Oregon to lead the band on the Columbia river stern wheeler that was my regular gig. Morell was annoyed with the guy for not bringing him on it. It was not considered to be a good gig, but it paid well, and a lot of good players have passed through it— Donnie Osborne, who was Mel Tormé’s drummer for years, passed it on to me, Chris Conrade held it for awhile, as well as a bunch of excellent younger drummers.
This is Morell’s playing on the first chorus of the piano solo, starting at 3:30 in the recording. Tempo is 155, the form is AABA, 54 bars long: 8-8 | 8-8 | 8 | 8

The markings here are straightforward; the accents generally are not played very strong. You’ll notice he does the triplet thing with the hands in unison vs. bass drum a number of times. I use the 16th note thing he’s doing here often— RLLB. The high-yet-tubby tom sound comes from tuning the top head higher than the bottom.
If you want to see a transcription of the piano solo, John Groves has posted that at that link.
